I want to clear some space on my shelves, so I need to part with some of my collection. It is hard to imagine that one of Tamiya’s fine 1/24 Sport Car Series kits needs any more detail, but apparently the perfectionists at Tamiya feel otherwise. They put together this set to trick out their Xanavi Nismo Z kit (TAM #24277) and their Calsonic Impul Z kit (TAM #24280) and it has photo etched metal screens, brake disks, painting stencil and more, along with seat belt material. I found only a handful of listings for this set on eBay, but I am a Top Rated Plus US Seller who can reliably ship this useful item very quickly. Here is what I have been able to find about this particular set: The Tamiya site has a photo of the PE fret and the following list of features of this high-quality detail set: · Photo-etched meshing for front air intake · 2 types of catch pins, simple and assembly type (for experienced modelers). · A stencil for the tires to accurately add tire markings to the sides. · A full seat belt set featuring seat belt, shoulder pads and photo-etched buckles · Photo-etched brake disks · Photo-etched label for professional display quality. Scalemates.com has a listing showing this is a new product from 2005 and confirms that this product is designed for the Tamiya Xanavi Nismo Z kit (TAM #24277) and the Tamiya Calsonic Impul Z kit (TAM #24280). They also provide links to a review and a variety of related products. Frank Richter posted a superb First Look Review on the German-language modellversium.de site with photos of the PE fret, seat belt stickers, foam stickers for seat belt padding and the instruction sheet. He lists the parts (radiator and ventilation grills, brake disks, belt buckles, and hood clips) and extols the virtues of the set, saying: “ Easy-to-handle set, parts are simply replaced, no "surgical" interventions necessary ”. This set is in a flat pack about 7” x 5”. As you can see from the pictures, the set is in pristine condition and still heat-sealed shut, so I consider it factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready. This item contains a fret of over two dozen photo-etched metal parts, including a stencil for painting the tire markings along with seat belt material and stickers to add incredible detail to your own Tamiya GT Z car kit (TAM #24277 or #24280). I started out picking up models that I was interested in, with the eye toward building them when I had time. Always a bargain-hunter, I accumulated many more than I can build, so I found myself in a Collector status (sounds nicer than a hoarder).
